چکیده
Abstract III-V nitride semiconductors have been characterized by photothermal deflection spectroscopy (PDS) which can provide the information of non-radiative recombination involving defect levels. After understanding challenges applying PDS to materials emitting light, advantages and features were described for evaluating defects level in band gap. The reciprocal slope spectrum near bandgap energy (Urbach-like energy) increased with increasing indium composition InGaN film. With an increase Urbach-like energy, radial distribution determined x-ray absorption fine structure was likely be decreased. This possibly attributed random aggregation In atoms Also, it proposed that may considered when in-gap emission caused discussed.

Photothermal cantilever deflection spectroscopy
Microcantilever sensors offer high sensitivity in the detection of adsorbed molecules based either on resonance frequency shift or changes in cantilever deflection, as both of these signals can be detected with very high resolution. Despite the high sensitivity offered by this platform, cantilevers suffer from poor selectivity due to the lack of sufficiently selective interfacial layers which c...

The theory for a sensitive spectroscopy based on the photothermal deflection of a laser beam is developed. We consider cw and pulsed cases of both transverse and collinear photothermal deflection spectroscopy for solids, liquids, gases, and thin films. The predictions of the theory are experimentally verified, its implications for imaging and microscopy are given, and the sources of noise are a...

متن کاملContinuous-wave photothermal deflection spectroscopy with fundamental and harmonic responses.
A diffraction theory of continuous-wave photothermal deflection (PD) spectroscopy with fundamental and harmonic responses is presented. The displacement of the probe beam centroid is found to be a rigorous measurement of PD effect, which leads to a set of analytical solutions to the fundamental and the second-order harmonics. Harmonics are caused by the diffraction of the probe beam in the mira...
